Los Gigantes is approximately 20 miles from Playa de Las Americas. The resort of Los Gigantes is more tranquil and peaceful and is famous for its great towering cliff’s. There are beaches but mostly all black volcanic sand, the beaches are clean and not crowded . A number of Diving centres operate from the harbour as the water is deep at the base of the cliffs. You will find a small but safe beach on the north side of the harbour.
Los Gigantes has a large marina full of privately owned boats and small fishing boats. Los Gigantes is far from bright lights and noise unlike it’s neighbours Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos, the giant cliff’s are the boundary to the Teno mountains. Apart from a multi story hotel all the other residencies are low rise and do blend into the surroundings. Los Gigantes has a commercial centre which is just inland, up the hill from the marina, although it is small it still offers a variety of shops, bars and restaurants.
