If you are moving to Tenerife and you have children one of the things that will be at the forefront of your mind is their education. You have to decide as to whether you will be putting them into the Spanish State Education system or if they will be going to a private English School. Some of the facts to take into consideration are the children’s ages and the cost of Private fees. If you have several children the cost of private education may be prohibitive. The other consideration of course is that the private English Schools do follow the English Educational system so they do GCSE’s and SAT’s so if you decide to leave Tenerife and go back to the UK your children should be able to continue where they left off. If your children are quite young say up to age 9 they should fit into the Spanish system well as they will pick the language up quite quickly. English Educational Centre is located at Golf de Sur in the south of Tenerife and they cater for children from the age of 3 up to the age of 11
Britannia School is located at Los Cristianos in the South of Tenerife and they cater for children from the age of 11 up to the age of 18. They also offer Adult Evening Classes.
Wingate School is located at Cabo Blanco in the South of Tenerife and they cater for children from Nursery up to the age of 18.
