Tenerife is well known for its Timeshare Touts although they appear not to be selling Timeshare anymore but what appears to be a Holiday Club. If at anytime you are offered scratch cards on the street do not accept them just say no thanks and walk away. If you do accept them you will find that one of you (normally the lady and the last card to be scratched) has won the star prize. The person who gave you the card will look amazed as if he or she has never seen someone win the star prize and then will attempt to put you in a Taxi or walk you to nearby offices where you will be conducted to several hours hard sell presentation which can be very intimidating. Remember that all this has been exposed on British television many times and proven to be a con, what you are buying is basically nothing, it doesn’t exist. Remember nothing is free.
The latest news is that recently the Arona council has now banned these touts, however no doubt you will still be approached by them. They still appear to be operating but are wary of the local Police and therefore have “lookouts” strategically placed.
You will see a few links to some of the attractions on offer on Tenerife but we have only added a very small selection at this time but we will gradually add more information and photographs on attractions such as Siam Parque.
Before it is time for your holiday to end you will find it much cheaper to stock up on Duty Free in the Tenerife shops as it is much cheaper than in the airport or on the plane returning home.
